The Danielle Rawlinson School of Dance and Theatre started out in 2005. We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Musical and Freestyle Jazz at Coddington, Swinderby, Nettleham, Wellingore and Welton.
Since 2005, the School has grown throughout Lincoln in both reputation and popularity and in 2008, Miss Danielle opened another branch in Nettleham and in September 2010 another dance branch was opened in Welton. We are now very happy to offer Adult Tap classes at Swinderby and Adult Ballet and Fitness classes at Wellingore. The school currently has over 350 pupils.
Aims
The aim of Miss Danielle and her teachers is to promote a happy but disciplined learning enviornment within the school and to share their knowledge and love of dance with their pupils.

Exams
The school has enjoyed 100% pass rates in all I.D.T.A. exams and those children who wish to take exams in Ballet, Tap and Freestyle Jazz are encouraged to do so. The children are able to sit exams once they have reached the required standard, thus rewarding them for their hard work.
Shows
All pupils can participate in the school dance shows, which are held at fabulous theatres in Lincoln, including our regular and current venue the LPAC Theatre at Lincoln University,
The Priory Witham Theatreand Terry O'Toole Theatre. In the past the children have performed in - 'It's Christmas!', 'Dizney Parade', 'Mistletoe, “One Night Only', ‘# High Ten’ and many more. All children that have taken part in the shows, have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of dancing on stage, wearing costumes and using stage make up.
Easter Dance Day & Theatre Trips
Every Easter we hold fun workshops, followed by a coach trip to a theatre to see a professional UK touring show. The two days are linked by the theme of the show on tour. During the workshop the children learn all about the show and perform their new songs and dances to their parents at the showcase at the end of the day. We then enjoy a day trip to see the professional cast perform on tour. Our previous coach trips have been to see - 'Fame', 'Cats', 'High School Musical', 'Lord of the Dance', 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', 'Sleeping Beauty Ballet', ‘Sister Act’ and most recently ‘Diversity’s UK Tour’ at Nottingham Arena
Summer Schools
Every year children can attend a week long summer school during the summer holidays at Swinderby and Nettleham. The pupils join a host of teachers from within the theatre world, from 9:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The professional teachers tutor the students and pass on their knowledge and skills in the different areas of Dance and Musical Theatre. We have enjoyed classes in the past of - Irish Dancing, Cheerleading, Maypole Dancing, Street Jazz, Morris Dancing, Circus Skills, Commercial and Keep Fit. The fun week also includes, Craft Classes, Stage Makeup Lessons, plus much more and is topped off with a big party and disco on the Friday afternoon.
Community
The Danielle Rawlinson School of Dance and Theatre is proud to have been a part of and to have supported various charities, including, St Barnabas, Claudia's Cause, The Fosseway Primary School Speech and Language Department, local village play groups and the Neonatal and Special Care Baby Unit at Lincoln County Hospital. We are eager and pleased to support the local communities.
